As part of your journey of completing the requirements prior to approval for weight loss surgery, you must have a psychological assessment completed.
The assessment is usually done in a 60 to 90 minute session. *Some insurances can cover the assessment but that has to be pre-determined prior to consultation. Out of pocket cost of assessment is $160.
Documentation (letter) is provided directly to the medical office that you are coordinating with for your surgery. Documentation is not covered by any insurance carrier. Cost of the documentation letter is $150. General completion time of letter on average is 5-7 business days.
